Gala Chin Chin hits the Togolese market
Gala Chin Chin came to Groupe Afristar with a familiar West African snack brand looking to formalize and expand its presence in Togo. The product already had regional recognition — our task was to convert that into consistent shelf presence and reliable supply across Togolese retail.
That required a supply chain that could keep pace with a fast-moving snack category, where stockouts cost shelf space to competitors quickly, paired with a distribution plan built around Togo's retail geography.

Our Challenge
Chin chin is a high-turnover product in a competitive snack category, meaning inconsistent supply would cost Gala shelf space almost immediately. We needed a distribution model resilient enough to keep retail partners consistently stocked from day one.
The Market Entry Journey
We built the rollout around supply reliability first, then layered distribution reach and consumer visibility on top of it.
Sourcing & Supply Planning
We established a sourcing and replenishment schedule sized to expected turnover, avoiding the early stockouts that undermine a new snack brand's shelf presence.
Import & Customs Clearance
Streamlined customs processing kept shipments moving on schedule, protecting the supply consistency the launch depended on.
Retail Distribution Network
We placed Gala Chin Chin in high-traffic retail outlets across Lomé, prioritizing locations with strong snack-category foot traffic.
Consumer Activation
Point-of-sale visibility and sampling introduced the product to shoppers directly, driving the trial purchases that build repeat demand.
The Result
Gala Chin Chin achieved consistent retail presence across its initial Lomé outlets without a single supply gap during launch, giving the brand a stable foundation to expand distribution further into the Togolese market.
